Coronary Angiography and Stenting

A coronary angiogram is a procedure performed in a hospital (cardiac catheter laboratory) performed by an interventional cardiologist.
It is an invasive procedure to look at the arteries of the heart (the coronary arteries) to evaluate for blockages or narrowing in the arteries. If required, a stent can also be placed in the artery to treat a blockage (called angioplasty).
