Coronary Angiography and Stenting
- A coronary angiogram is a procedure performed in a hospital (cardiac catheter laboratory) performed by an interventional cardiologist.
- It is an invasive procedure to look at the arteries of the heart (the coronary arteries) to evaluate for blockages or narrowing in the arteries. If required, a stent can also be placed in the artery to treat a blockage (called angioplasty).
